The Watermelon Pickers Fest is one of the DMV’s most beloved roots‑music gatherings — a three‑day celebration of bluegrass, Americana, and community set against the rolling hills of Berryville, VA. This year’s festival brings a stacked lineup featuring Cabinet and Mon Rovía at the top, supported by an incredible roster of regional and national talent.

One of the things that makes Ramble stand out is the daily outfit themes — the whole festival leans into them, and it adds a fun, playful energy to the weekend:
- Friday — Ramble Over the Rainbow
- Everyone shows up in full color. Bright, bold, and loud.
- Saturday — Toonsies
- Onesies everywhere. It’s basically Saturday‑morning cartoons brought to life.

Blaze for the Brave
Blaze for the Brave is one of the wildest and most entertaining weekends in the region — a full three‑day celebration of heat, bravery, live music, and the world of professional pepper athletes. The festival takes over Granite Hill Camping Resort with nonstop action: live bands, spicy competitions, family activities, vendors, and the kind of crowd energy you only get when people are willingly setting their mouths on fire. It’s all built around supporting local first responders, with the festival raising funds and awareness for the firefighters and emergency crews who show real bravery every day.
The weekend kicks off Friday night with the Fire Starter Party and performances from Nick Mich, Eternal Frequency, and the Heads or Tails Experience. Saturday is packed from start to finish — Ford the River, the Scoville Unit Wing‑Off, kids’ pie‑eating contests, spicy beer chugs, and a full Battle of the Bands lineup leading into evening sets from Major Moment, My Chemical Bromance, and the Trouble Bubble World Record attempt. Sunday keeps the heat rolling with League of Fire events, Tubefreeks, Lives Lost, Reign of Z, and the big Blaze of Glory awards.
And of course, one of the biggest draws is the legendary UK Chilli Queen, a world‑famous competitive eater known for dominating extreme heat challenges. Her appearances always pull a crowd — she’s a true icon in the spicy‑food world.
If you want to stay close to the action but don’t have camping gear, no worries — Epic Glamping has you covered in the Blaze Glamping Patch, where your tent is fully set up and ready when you arrive.
